Why one testicle is bigger than the other

This unusual question is very interesting for men and, oddly enough, the female.

Everybody has not symmetric body. Nature creates the different sizes of eyes, ears, hands and feet long, horizontal shoulder line. The same is true to the reproductive organs: often in men one testicle larger than the other.

As an example twins who are only at first glance identical such as at birth. Moreover, even up to a certain age parents find it difficult to distinguish them. However, the more children get older the more differences they have (especially nature). So the age of 15 Mom and Dad know exactly who is who. The differences consist of the conditions of life of twins. So, one of them eat first, in the school they sit at a desk, but the one on the left, and the other – on the right. All these little things constantly accumulate resulting in differences between the brothers.

Same thing happens with human organs. On the testicles affect the way a man washes them, which foot has wider steps, besides they have different blood flow… By the way it is the reason why the testicles are located at different heights – if they were at the same level then walking would be rubbed against each other causing young people to the terrible pain.

It is believed that the size of the testicles in men is directly related to their physical condition: the healthier the body, the larger specimen. Accordingly, the reproductive functions in healthy men are much better. Anatomy of the penis involves the uneven location of the testes in the quiescent state. This is necessary to prevent injury or chafing, twists between divisions of the scrotum in everyday life. If we look at their front one egg is located above the other, moreover, one of which has a slightly smaller size.

It is believed that the optimal size is within 4-6 cm long and 2.5-3 cm wide. But do not think that these parameters are the standard. Organisms in men are different and therefore the proportions of their reproductive organs are different. In the case where one of the testicles is significantly different from each other in size it is necessary to examine more closely this area. It is understood that if one testicle was larger than the other in a couple of weeks it is an occasion to contact the doctor. It is better not to risk with it.

Abnormalities in size.

If you find that one of the testicles is very different from the second then you need to do a self-examination which will help you to determine how serious deviation is.

  1. Standing in front of a mirror in a calm state examine testicles for their apparent differences from each other.
  2. Pay attention to the color: it should be exactly the same.
  3. Carefully lift up each testicle in the groin using your fingers and then lower it. Please note that there are no unpleasant sensations.
  4. Gently squeeze a few times each of them to check for the presence of pain.
  5. Several times tense your body and pay attention to that feeling: if the pain appears then it is a bad sign.

Obvious difference between one testicle from another can be a sign of pathology. It is necessary to consult a doctor if the following symptoms are observed:

•           One of the testes size is very different from the other;

•           Their color varies;

•           They are non-uniform to the touch;

•           Their temperature varies;

•           Felt soreness.

To exclude the beginning of serious diseases the patient will be asked to undergo an examination. Doctor will prescribe a complex analysis, ultrasound diagnostics and x-ray. The research will help to identify the cause of increasing of one of them and then you can begin timely treatment if it is necessary.

What could it be?

If the right testicle over the left or vice versa while there is pain or cyanosis of one of them you should immediately consult with a specialist. The reason for the different size of the testicles in men can be:

•           Groin injury;

•           Varicose testicular vein (varicocele);

•           Twisting;

•           Inflammation (epididymitis);

•           Cancer.

Each of these diseases can harm not only the ability to conceive children but also the general state of the organism. Beginning with the increasing of one of the testicles it can give serious complications in the treatment of which will take a lot of time and effort. Early diagnosis can help identify the size of the hidden pathological processes in the tissues which prevent the development of complex diseases.

Testicular diseases in men are varied; some of them are asymptomatic hardly manifested with any pain. This proves once again how important it is to be screened in the clinic periodically.

The development of pathologies in the testicles is able to cause serious damage to the body of a man. It is important not to lose time and start treatment on time and then the chances for a speedy recovery will be much greater.

Healthy testes do not cause any discomfort during palpation. They are uniform to the touch and the density of their bodies is the same. Springiness and elastic membranes are absolutely identical. Blood vessels are clearly visible and palpable below the skin in deeper layers and have normal size all over. Furthermore, the sensitivity of both halves must be maintained equally.

Meanwhile one difference is permissible: that is size. Doctors admit abnormalities in diameter up to six centimeters with no mandatory of the rest of deviations. Properly placed halves hang one above the other at a distance of up to three centimeters apart.

To prevent the development of diseases in the lower organ of men you should follow some rules:

  • Live a healthy life;
  • Physical activity;
  • Avoid overheating or overcooling of external bodies;
  • Protect against possible injury and infections.

Healthy organs men are the guarantor of a full sex life and quality work function of childbearing.
